Education & Outreach
Horsley Witten Group (HW) has served as education and outreach experts on several environmental programs nationally as consultants to the United States Protection Agency (USEPA), numerous state governments and several non-profit organizations. We have prepared dozens of outreach documents, websites and have taught over two hundred targeted workshops in 47 states and 5 countries.
Our approach and strength lies in our ability to translate technical subjects into understandable concepts for decision makers. Our interdisciplinary staff of engineers, hydrogeologists, wetlands scientists and land use planners provides a unique capability to integrate science and policy.
HW has served as consultants to the USEPA for eighteen years preparing numerous brochures, calendars, training manuals and conducting training workshops on subjects including wellhead protection, source water protection, coastal zone management, watershed protection, wetlands and water security.
HW has also provided training materials and workshops under contract with the States of California,
Several of the courses taught by HW are accredited by professional organizations and provide continuing credits to maintain professional certifications and registrations. Specific skills provided by HW include full-time graphics staff with capabilities in HTML design, GIS, Sketch-Up as well as video production.
