HW is pleased to announce that Brian Kuchar, R.L.A., P.E. and Douglas McLean have joined the company

Brian Kuchar, R.L.A., P.E. has over 13 years of experience in the combined fields of civil/environmental engineering and landscape architecture including: site engineering, coastal design, storm water management, innovative alternative and conventional septic design, federal, state and local permitting, erosion control, ecologically sensitive landscape design, urban landscape design, environmental restoration, land management planning, and surveying. He has been employed in both the public and private sector in southern New England and has experience with a broad range of commercial and residential land development projects. Over the last five years Mr. Kuchar has also served as an adjunct professor in the Landscape Architecture Department at the University of Rhode Island.

Douglas McLean has experience working in a broad range of planning sectors including private development, municipal, and state planning. Prior to joining HW, Doug served with an international, sustainable development firm--providing technical analysis on Project Proposals and Executive Summary documents. Doug recently completed his Masters Degree of Regional Planning with a focus on sustainable development and growth management techniques. Of note, Doug's coursework allowed him to engage in a work-study affiliation with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) in which he conducted research for developing new modules of the Smart Growth Toolkit.
